Biography of Jason Lee McCall
- Age: 28 years old
- Team member at Stingers Taekwon-Do and Train Gym boxing and fitness.
- Height: 5.7.
- Fighting weight: 76-77kgs
Jason Lee McCall has worked for East Coast Radio (Durban) from 01 January 2011. Before this he was at the Highway Mail from September 2006 to December 2010, where he worked as a photojournalist who specialized in Crime reporting.
Jason Lee McCall has a Bachelor of Arts: (Media and Communications, English) University of KwaZulu-Natal.
Jason is an award winning radio producer who won the Kagiso Drive show awards and receiving four nominations and one award in 2013 from SA’s biggest Radio awards show “The MTN RADIO AWARDS”.
Jason was also part of the winning team at Caxton which won a category at the Caxton Community awards in 2010 – as well as being a finalist in a number of categories several times.
Jason also MC’ed several events including:
- Cricket: PnP cricket – Sunfoil Dolphins vs. Sharks – January 2012 – Stadium television (crowd and player interviews) and SuperSport visual/audio.
- Boxing: Train Gym “Box and Dine” event – September 2012 Lion’s Den boxing invitational – June 2011
Sporting and Martial Arts background: As a child I practiced Karate and Judo and took up Taekwondo in Varsity late in 2003 / early 2004. I am currently the undisputed power breaking SA champion in ITF, International Taekwondo Federation and power breaking “involves breaking multiple boards with various strikes”.
I am the ITF SA sparring champion in the U78 kg champion “SA champs in 2012” and an official team member of the ITF Taekwondo team which will be heading to London in August 2013.

2nd Degree Black belt: ITF Taekwondo (Korean martial art). Part time I taught Martial Arts at Fulton School for the deaf to deaf, disadvantaged and disabled children 2010.
National colours:
- Protea Colours. Part of National team which fought in Russia in 2009. The team placed 20th out of 89 countries.
