International Male Model Atta Junior, share some tip…
When you did first discover you had a passion for modeling, and why do you have this passion?
Modeling wasn’t part of my plans in life ’till a friend lighted the talent in me. Back then I didn’t know anything about modeling, I learn, read and did lots of reserve after I noticed I have something hidden inside me, it’s been a long journey with ups and downs, empty promises just to mention few but the passion got me going, I felt so much deeply in love with modeling that I feel so restless when I’m not doing anything connected to modeling.
Atta Junior is one person who loves to learn a bit of everything and I’m glad I’m achieving that through modeling, Tyra Banks said this and I always go with it ‘As a model you will do so many things you’ve never done in your life before, the best model knows how to fake it to make it look real’ and that’s what I want to do and I believe in my heart and with God this boy talking to you right now will go places lol.
How would you compare Durban models to Johannesburg and International models, is there a huge difference?
Hmmmm, I haven’t been in this side for a long time, I’m in my forth month in South Africa but Durban models are doing great, I have seen shows in Durban which I was very impressed by, and they will go far I don’t like comparing things, what I think is everyone is doing well in their way, comparing ourselves to the international models, there the industry is huge with lots of opportunities and really recognized, they are not doing anything way different from what we are doing.
Is there a huge stereotype for Male models in today’s day and age?
Everyone thinks models are living in paradise and things come to us so easily, but they don’t know what we go through every single day, its lots of hard work in the gym and eating well.
What’s the best part of being a male model?
Waking up every single morning to meet that person I want to become.
What was your best model experience?
Walking the runway to a save a soul, I did couple of charity shows in Ghana and we really achieve our target and up to date it’s been my best experience so far.
What was your favourite photo-shoot / who what this photographer / and what made it different from other photo-shoots?
It’s a head shot I did with one of Ghana’s best photographers, his name is Emmanuel Bobbie ‘Bob Pixel Photography’. It was my first professional experience in front of a camera, and it keeps motivating me every day.
What advice can you give young models that would like to enter the industry?
Just three words: Watch, Listen and Learn
