In Paarl which is accessible from Cape Town via the N1, the Takbok 4×4 trail is rated with a difficulty level of 2-3, and being a beautiful town surrounded by vineyards, farmlands and glorious mountains, it is sure to surprise any driver with some spectacular views. And being in the farmlands, Malmesbury’s Babylonstoren (about 68km from Cape Town) also offers a route described as a level 4 trail in difficulty.

In Yzerfontein, the Blombosch 4×4 Nature Trail is regarded as a 1-2 trail in difficulty level, while the Buffelsfontein 4×4 Trail that spreads over Yzerfontein, Darling and Langebaan is rated a 3-4 and requires some skill and experience which only comes through actually trying the adventurous trails.
