Llandudno Beach
Llandudno Beach
Llandudno Beach is one of Cape Town’s most popular beaches, fronting the tiny and exclusive suburb of Llandudno. It is a small but stunning stretch of beach only a few hundred meters long, accessed by a steep road off Victoria Road between Camps Bay and Hout Bay on the Cape Peninsula, only 15 minutes from Cape Town’s City Centre.
Parking is limited, so you will usually only find a spot on the residential streets. The beach is framed by enormous granite boulders and is popular with sunbathers and surfers.
The beach is on the Atlantic Seabaord side of the Cape Peninsula, so the water is cold but stay for sunset sundowners, which is what the pretty west facing Llanduno beach is all about. There is a little life-saving clubhouse, and life-guards are on duty during the summer months.
