Who was responsible for setting up the Wi-Fi at St Andrew’s Square?
SA Computers. MD of SA Computers, David Szivos also comments that,
“This is truly a free Wi-Fi service with no strings attached. No registration, no credit card details. Just lie back on the grass and enjoy being online and connected. SA Computers is very proud to be part of this initiative, hopefully with more to follow in the near future”.
Can I take my laptop?
Yes. The Prestwich Memorial is also situated in the St Andrew’s Square and located inside the Visitor/Information Centre is a Truth Coffee Shop franchise with tables, chairs and power points. Outside the Prestwich Memorial there are tables, chairs and sun umbrellas. The space outside also includes trees, lawns, park benches and public toilets.
What else should I know about St Andrew’s Square?
St Andrew’s Square was also part of the Fan Walk during the FIFA World Cup in 2010 and still remains part of this pedestrian walkway. It has also become the starting point for the popular annual Cape Town Naked Bike Ride. The area is also filled with interesting sculptures and art on display for the public to admire.
