Simplify life with emailed City accounts
By making the change to digital, residents will receive their accounts via email, and not via the post. The South African Post Office is not always reliable, and residents can instead be certain of receiving their accounts directly to their inboxes.
Residents can sign up for the service by registering via e-Services on the City’s website, or by sending an SMS or email request. This is by far the most convenient and reliable way to receive municipal accounts. Just over 422 000 account holders have already signed up for emailed accounts.
‘By making emailed accounts part of your life, you are not only cutting down on paper waste and helping to protect the environment, but also making your life easier and enjoying greater peace of mind. We thank our residents for stepping into the future of emailed accounts with us,’ said the City’s Mayoral Committee Member for Finance, Councillor Siseko Mbandezi.
