NSRI hero rescued dog trapped on rocks during the rising tide
The National Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI) is famous for its heroic rescues of swimmers, fishermen and the likes but a recent story really filled our hearts with warmth.
Kyle Burns is not only a hero to people but also to animals. Kyle is a rescue swimmer with the Gordon’s Bay NSRI and was able to save a dog trapped by rising tides. According to the team, they could see the dog was too scared to jump into the water to swim back to safety.
“The dog was a male mixed breed dog that became trapped on a rock about 30 meters off-shore by the rising tide. The dog was sitting on the rock appearing to be too afraid to jump into the water to swim to the shore.
