High School Students Harvest First Vegetables from Garden an
At the start of winter, Camps Bay High School planted the first phase of their Garden of Hope – a food garden for the future with roots in the past.
Last week, Cara Kahn, Head of the Camps Bay High School Alumni Association, together with members of the Camps Bay High School Environmental Club, harvested the first batch of vegetables from phase 1 of the Garden of Hope.
“Ultimately, the produce from our Garden will be used by Camps Bay High School families who are experiencing food security issues but for our first harvest, we decided to celebrate with a harvest table of salads for the Camps Bay High School staff. We also ensured that all those learners who assisted with our first harvest received a salad for lunch.” – Cara Kahn, Head of the Camps Bay High School Alumni Association
