Cape Town beats New York, London and Joburg in latest “quality of life” survey
Cape Town been chosen as one of the best 30 cities on the world , based on its quality of life. Johannesburg is also out muscling some serious competition.
It’s been a glorious week for bragging rights in Cape Town. Not only has it been recently-revealed that the city now pays higher salaries than its friendly rival Johannesburg, but the quality of life in the Mother City is also turning heads: The latest data set from Deutsche Bank will be music to Capetonian ears.
The miles of golden coastlines and exquisite, mountainous backdrops seem to have impressed quite a few respondents – but perhaps, not enough. On the 56-city survey, Cape Town is actually in mid-table. It struggles to hold a candle to destinations in Europe, America and Australia.
