Be inspired by Beautiful News at the V&A
Beautiful News South Africa, in conjunction with its proud sponsor Mercedes-Benz South Africa, will be screening short-films of ordinary South Africans doing extraordinary things, putting a positive spin on what it means to be South African at the Victoria & Alfred (V&A) Waterfront in Cape Town.
Shoppers and travellers visiting one of South Africa’s most popular tourist attractions will enjoy the in-mall flighting from September 2017. During this time, the short-films will also be screened at the V&A’s amphitheatre.
Commissioning Editor of Beautiful News South Africa, Anthony Hinrichsen says, “The short videos fit seamlessly with the calibre of content that this audience looks forward to and appreciates. Television is one of the most effective, informative and innovative media within a shopping mall environment.”
The series of film screenings caters to a wide audience, aligning seamlessly with the tastes and cultures of the V&A’s clientele.
He adds, “Building and maintaining a multimedia project requires narrative building, storytelling and, above all, creating compelling content. Delivering an effective content strategy is a real balancing act that requires insight, innovation, creativity, and most importantly passion. Beautiful News shares powerful messages reflecting the actions and endeavours of ordinary citizens in an inclusive and engaging style, allowing the public to access and reflect on the goodness of the communities and the people around us in our country.”
