Neon Run in Cape Town
Neon Run is one of Cape Towns wildest electronic music festival events that hits the Mother City in a blaze of lights, neon colours and glow-in-the-dark parties.
Q: How far is the run?
5km.
You can sprint, run, jog, take a stroll and walk or just stay at the venue and enjoy the neon atmosphere if you like. Running is not compulsory.
Q: Can I do the Neon Run with other modes of transport?
Yes, you can take your skateboard, rollerblades, bicycle or roller-skates if you want. There are no lock-up facilities however, so whatever you take into the venue remains your responsibility for the remainder of the night.

Yes, the Neon Run is one of the fun things to do in Cape Town.
All ages can take part in the Neon Run as it is only 5km and kids can also enjoy this Cape Town event and dress up as neon as they can.
After the run it does however turn into a big party, which wouldn’t be the best place for families with kids.
Q: What are glow zones?
Along the 5km route there are various points with neon lights, electric music and entertainment. Perfect pit stops for selfies.

Yes.

Yes. There are food stalls and vendors at the venue that serve take-away style food as well as over-18 drinking zones with fully stocked bars and ample room to sit if your feet are tired of dancing to the electric tunes. [Students be sure to take ID’s as they might be asked.]

White, neon or anything that glows in the dark.
There are also prizes for the best dressed participants.

Yes. Neon Run’s official charity partner for 2014 was Life Choices; a youth organisation working in Cape Town that provides services for young people to help them with their life plans, future dreams and journey ahead.
