Tietiesbaai, West Coast
If the name alone isn’t enough to encourage you to visit this West Coast gem, taking a look at photographs of the area should seal the deal. It is just around the corner from Paternoster, everyone’s favourite holiday village, so days can be filled with relaxing at your tent or exploring the area. The West Coast is well-known for its colourful Spring flowers, so plan your trip accordingly. Ablution facilities with cold showers are available. Other amenities like electricity are not on offer so expect a rustic camping trip. There’s no glamping here. It is about two hours and 150km from Cape Town.
Kromrivier, Cederberg
