Harties Haven

The Safe Haven is currently the only place of safety in Hartbeespoortdam-Brits area for children or victims of domestic violence, and is currently home to 38 children, ranging from 4 months to 16 years They are an independent non profit organisation providing a safe, accessible, caring home for traumatised children with counselling and therapeutic services.”

They intend building additional facilities including a clinic, a children’s play therapy room as well as a debriefing room for the counsellors

Their mission includes the desire to change the community through care, respect and love, and they recognise the need to make the child come out of hopelessness and need, by creating a conducive environment geared towards a meaningful and progressive life!

The grim reality of the situation is that the Safe Haven cannot function without help from sponsors.
