T.O. Strand, Camping & Caravan Site, Leisure Bay, KZN
T.O. Strand, camping and caravan site, is situated 10 km east of The Wild Coast Sun at Leisure Bay.
This resort is equipped to cater for conference groups, weddings, rallies, families or individuals. Enjoy relaxing on the beach, swimming or fishing at shark-netted beaches. There is also put-put, tennis court, swimming pool, restaurant and kiosk on site.
Visit the Umtumvuna Nature Reserve with its abundance of bird life and indigenous flora. The historical “Tragedy Hill” is nearby Port Edward where Shaka supposedly killed a party of Mpondos in 1828. There is also the Riverbend Crocodile Farm & Art Gallery to visit, as well as The Wild Coast Sun casino and entertainment centre.
Two dormitories can cater for 50 people with lapa and kitchen. Caravan and camping sites with electrical and water points close by. Ablution facilities with hot and cold water. Scullery and laundry facilities available.

Directions: Take N2 south from Durban to Port Shepstone. From tollgate at Port Shepstone (remember to take necessary cash – R19.00 for vehicles), head for Port Edward on the R61. You by-pass Trafalgar, Palm Beach, Munster, Glenmore and Leisure Crest/Leisure Bay North. Take the Leisure Bay South/Torquay off-ramp. Keep left. Follow signs to T.O. Strand. At Blackpool Street, turn right into Bournemouth Avenue. Entrance is 50 meters ahead.
