Brakvlei

The farm is unique, a living museum, and modern working sheep and angora goat farm. It also encompasses a private game reserve with spectacular scenery.

Visitors can experience modern farming methods, a natural relaxing life style and even catch a glimpse of the future.

Brandkraal

A farm experience not too far from the town. The house has enough space for the whole family or a group of friends on a hunting trip. Come and recharge your batteries and enjoy the fun activities provided. The Brandkraal Hills with the Buffalo River running through it, is our backyard.

There is a Springbuck with your name on it.

Freeks Cottage

If you just want to stay for a night or enjoy a carefree self-catering farm holiday, this is the farm to visit.  Sitting in the lapa you will hear the rumble of the Buffalo River just on beyond the Acacia trees.  And when you take a walk to go and see this music maker of nature you will be greeted with the magnificent view of the mountain. 4×4 Routes, mountain bike trails, fly-fishing and bird watching.

Grootdriefontein

Accommodation in original farmhouse.  Shepherd’s cottage for hikers, also mountain cave those seeking an unusual stayover. Mountain biking, bird watching;  game viewing, walks, hikes (two routes) 20 km hike moves into mountainous countryside with several natural pools for swimming and tree-lined kloofs for picnics – 5 km walk covers typical Karoo veld. There is a  Bossie Trail for plant enthusiasts. Stone kraals and picturesque veld scenes delight photographers and artists. Painting \ art weekends by special arrangement for small groups. Misthoek

On Misthoek you will enjoy a real Karoo farm experience. We farm with wool sheep, Angora and game. Slow down and take a deep breath of the fresh Karoo air. In the evenings be mesmerized by the millions of stars you will see in our open skies. Hunting, 4×4 Routes, mountain bike routes, swimming and fishing in the farm dam, hiking trails, bird watching, dirt bike, horse riding, donkey cart drives and stargazing.

Quaggasdrift

Stap, voëls kyk – voëlneste, swem in rivier, sonbrand op massiewe ronde klippe langs rivier, braai in die populierbos, 4 x 4 roete, graf van onbekende Engelse soldaat (Anglo Boereoorlog).

Rietfontein

Enjoy the experience of a live time and take a ride in a micro light.

Bring your quad bikes, scramblers or mountain bike or take your 4×4 and drive to your hearts content.

Swartbosch

Come and enjoy a proper Karoo farm holiday.  Take part in the day-to-day activities on the farm and help to take care of the sheep, goats, pigs, horses, ostriches and horses living on Swartbosch.  Go tracking and see what you can find by just looking closely at the sign left in the field.   After a hard days fun, cool down in the cement dam and enjoy a braai under the Karoo sky with its breathtaking display of stars. Kudu hunting, farm activities, hiking, fishing (depending on season), mountain biking – bring own bikes, horse Riding, bird watching and tracking.
