Highveld Motor Club brings Rally action to Witbank
The Highveld Motor Club (HMC) will once again bring Motorsport action to Witbank when they host the 5th Round of the Northern Regions Rally Championship, the IFS Coal Dust Rally, on 4 October.
The highly anticipated event – also known as the HMC Rally – will showcase brand new and exciting stages between Witbank and Ogies, which include six stages around the Truter Farms near the Klipspruit mine.
It will comprise of a series of gravel stages held on private roads linked by road sections on private and public roads, in the Ogies (eMalahleni West) area.
The total distance will be ± 180 km’s of which ± 120km’s will consist of special stages.
Tracy-Lee Nienaber, Secretary of the HMC Club, said that the IFS Coal Dust Rally promises to be ‘an event not to be missed’.
“The stages can be best described as fast with a few technical sections that are designed to test driving skills to the limit”
The Rally will start at 09:00 on the Saturday morning and first car is due in Parc Ferme around 15:00.
