It is an activity that is almost impossible to ignore when touring the ‘CIty of Coal’ and best of all you’ll also be given a professionally produced DVD of your jump and photographs of your time in the sky!
The thrill of freefall from 10 000 feet is an experience that anyone can enjoy in their first jump. It requires minimal training and allows you to get up in the air on the same day of your visit.

Skydive Tandem is the perfect place for your next skydive, whether you are new to parachuting or an experienced skydiver.
It’s less than an hour away from Gauteng and professionally conducted by experienced veterans of the sport.
The procedure is rather simple:
Arriving at Skydive Tandem, you will be required to sign in. Thereafter, you will watch a short DVD that will educate you about skydiving, including a short training session that will familiarize you with the tandem skydiving procedures.
You and an experienced tandem instructor will then gear up in a tandem skydiving system designed for two people and get in the aircraft. Bringing a team or just a friend with is not a problem as the planes can carry up to nine jumpers.
While on the aircraft you can also enjoy a stunning view of the area from above. If you would like to be filmed and photographed during your jump this can be arranged and are done by a professional skydiving cameraman.
You, your instructor and the cameraman will then exit the plane and you will experience the thrill of free fall at 200 km/hr.

The freefall lasts about 40 seconds or more before the instructor deploys the parachute, thereafter you will steer your tandem parachute (with the help of your tandem instructor) and fly it down to a landing.
