Photos: The Soil attracts crowds
Acclaimed music group, The Soil brought their Nostalgic Moments tour to eMalahleni at The Ridge on Friday, 5 June to a sold out crowd. As they stepped onto stage, there was electricity in the air until the first sound was uttered and caused the crowd to jump to their feet with delight as Phindo (Master P) brought his beatbox talent to the masses.
What makes this band stand out of the crowd is that they are an acapella team and have given up everything to follow their dreams of becoming national superstars… a dream that seems to have reached fruition if the crowd reaction is any indication.
The band consists of lead singer Buhle (Soil Sister), Ntsika (Fana-tastic) and Phindo (Master P).
eMalahleni’s very own Idols 2014 contestant Musa Mashiane took to the stage to open for the band who had the audience enthralled with renditions from their platinum selling debut album and hits from their latest album, The Journey. Their much loved hit, Susan, was a definite crowd pleaser.
Marketing Manager Sharika Betts said, ‘Over 1500 guests attended the show at our premier entertainment destination, the Venue and fans reveled in both song and dance throughout the shows. We love being able to bring events like this to The Ridge. Our number one priority is to always spoil our loyal guests.’
In an effort to please the masses, The Soil performed to another crowded venue the following day on Saturday, June 6.
The Ridge tries to host the very best of South Africa’s favourite bands and entertainers and due to popular demand’ Barry Hilton will be back at The Ridge for a special one-night only show on Saturday, 27 June 2015. Book your tickets now.
