90.6 FM and Epilepsy South Africa has a very exciting event which we are planning.  We had a meeting with the Emerald Resort and Casino who agreed to sponsor the venue for this event and now we would like to invite all charities to a presentation which will take place at Breeze Restaurant at the Emerald Resort and Casino on the 3^rd of March 2014 at 4pm.

The 90.6 FM & Epilepsy SA “Amazing Duck Race” is an event whereby yellow plastic bathtime ducks are thrown in the river to race against each other for, for example, a kilometre with 1 lucky duck being the winner.

We are inviting all charity based organisations to sell these ducks.  I’ve already sent mails to: SPCA Vanderbijlpark, Sasol and Vereeniging, Community Chest, CANSA, Sunflower Fund, Riverside Rotary, Rotary Three Rivers, Round Table Sasolburg, Hospice, SANCA Vaal and Lifeline.  

A duck will, for example, be sold for R100.  R50 will go to Epilepsy SA and the other R50 will go to the organisation selling the ducks thus a win win situation for both Epilepsy SA and the non profit organisation.

Each duck will be numbered and the lucky owner of the winning duck will receive the winning prize (in the form of cash – a large cash amount).  The admin and arrangements for the day will be taken care of by Epilepsy SA.  This event was first held at the Parys Dome Festival last year and it turned out to be a huge success.

I’m trying to get as many charity organisations to attend the presentation on the 3^rd of March 2014.
