The Karma Game and Holiday Ranch, Vanderbijlpark
The Karma Game and Nature Reserve, also known as Karma Game Ranch, or the Karma Holiday Ranch, offers excellent safari experiences in the form of both day and night game drives, in a beautiful reserve just outside Vanderbijlpark in the Southern Gauteng and Vaal region – very close to Johannesburg.
Animals that can be seen include Giraffe, Blesbok, Springbok, Eland, Waterbuck and Red Hartebees among other species of antelope.
Other activities offered both on the Ranch and in the area include birding, hikes and walks archery, paintball, abseiling, microlight flips, quad biking, 4X4, boot camp challenges, fishing, canoeing, white water rafting and various other water activities and watersports.
There is something for everyone at Karma, and this coupled with a variety of accommodation options ranging from luxury to family, makes Karma perfect for weekend getaway for families to corporate groups as well tourists.
‘Outside activities’ are arranged through a local activities company based in Parys and must be pre-booked.

Getting there: Turn off the R59 at Meyerton. Turn left at the top of the off-ramp and continue straight over 3 four-way stops until you get to a T-junction. Turn right here into Verwoerd Rd. Turn left off Verwoerd at the 2nd stop street, cross the Kliprivier and continue for 16km. You will see the entrance on the right.
