Activities and activity facilities offered include mountain biking trails, archery, hiking and walking trails, boating, canoeing, bird-watching, photography, bass fishing and snorkelling. You do need to take your own mountain bikes, cameras and gear, but there is a small outdoors activities shop where you can hire snorkels, canoes and various other pieces of equipment.
The latest offering from Bass Lake is ‘4×4 Adventures’ consisting of either half or full day 4×4 offroad training.
Bass Lake also caters for corporate groups, team-building weekends and day visitors who want to simply picnic and enjoy the beautiful, tranquil surroundings and go swimming.

Getting there: Take the N12 south from Johannesburg toward, taking the Henly Drive off-ramp 12km from Alberton. Continue along Henley Drive for another 3km to a 3-way stop, then continue on to a 4 way stop, where you will turn left for Bass Lake.
