Wildebraam Berry Estate

Youngberry Farm Pic

Swellendam is the largest youngberry growing area in the country. Wildebraam is in the heart of the Hermitage Valley, just 3km out of town. During season (Mid November to Mid December) join in the berry picking and take home the booty. Out of season, frozen berries are in stock.

But do not be disappointed if you can’t get down to picking. Wildebraam produce unique South range of African Liqueurs and visitors are warmly welcomed to the tasting room where nine different types of liqueur are on sale – Youngberry, Hazelnut, Honey, Fennel, Lemon, Rooibos Tea, Guava, Choc Chilli and Peppermint.

If you have to drive (what a shame) then choose from the delicious range of deli products such as pickles, chutneys, relishes, atchars, chilli products and jams, syrups, liqueured or brandied dried fruit, vinegar, chocolates and personal gifts.

Wildebraam hold Classical Music Concerts on a monthly basis and if you are interested in the programme you can contact Martyn on marketing@wildebraam.co.za and he will forward the programme to you. There is self-catering accommodation available.

Open every Monday to Friday 08h00-17h00 and Saturdays 09h00 to 16h00: Closed Xmas Day and New Years Day: Phone: +27(0)28 5143132: E-mail: info@wildebraam.co.za: Contact: Martyn & Natalie Turck: Directions: take Andrew Whyte Street and drive past the golf course. Continue along the gravel road and the hermitage will be on your right.
