Michael John Mawdsley Jnr. is one of South Africa’s most celebrated bronze sculptors. He has a real heart for South Africa, especially it’s flora and fauna, and this is more than evident in the stunning work that he produces.
Originally trained as a goldsmith and jeweler, Michael has taken his experience gained from working in those industries, and pursued his ultimate passion to work with bronze. Michael finds the bronze art form ultimately more challenging and stimulating, which has inspired him to create such fabulous works. To date, his work covers the subjects of african wildlife, the human form and local flora.
