The Shark Diving Company, Umdoni Coast, KwaZulu-Natal

Shark Cage Diving, KwaZulu Natal

The Shark Diving Company, launches from the safest launch site along the KwaZulu-Natal South Coast – Rocky Bay. They are specialists in Soft Cage Diving, Shark Diving Trips and shark viewing at Aliwal Shoal.

The Shark Diving Company uses these dives as a way of raising awareness and compassion for these beautiful majestic creatures. Diving with these sharks plays an important role in their conservation as millions of sharks are indiscriminately killed every year through fishing methods.

Anyone over the age of eight and who can swim qualifies for a dive. No diving experience is necessary. The diving experience will consist of: a conservation talk, then one hour in the water, where divers are given a chance to swim outside the cage in and amongst dusky, spinner and blacktip sharks.

This is one of the ultimate marine adventure experiences, and furthermore these dives take place at one of the top ten dives spots in the world, Aliwal Shoal. There are year-round sighting of common dolphins and the interesting fish that assemble at the Shoal. Depending on the time of year, ragged-tooth, tiger sharks, bull sharks and hammerheads can also been seen by divers.
