Neethlingshof Wine Estate, Stellenbosch, Western Cape
Neethlingshof Wine Estate, dating back to 1705 when it was known as De Wolvendans, is situated in the heart of the historic Stellenbosch Wine Route. Charles Marais acquired the farm in 1788 and his wife, Maria, was responsible for establishing the winery and building the estate into a formidable operation. When their daughter married Johannes Neethling he became half owner of the estate and the name was changed to Neethlingshof .
Maria is credited with putting the finishing touches to the gable of the magnificent manor house – a beautifully preserved example of Cape Dutch architecture which today houses the Lord Neethling restaurant. The restaurant, together with the larger Palm Terrace, can accommodate functions for groups up to 160 people and is an ideal venue for conferences and functions.
The estate is fortunate enough to have 13 different terroirs allowing the winemaker to produce a large variety of award winning wines.

Monday – Friday: 9am to 5pm
Saturday, Sunday & Public Holidays: 10am to 4pm
During the summer months, the Neethlingshof wine estate closes two hours later to make the most of the glorious evenings and Stellenbosch sunsets.
