Montagu Guano Cave
The Montagu Guano Cave, now cleared of guano, was once inhabited more than 20000 years ago and used as a tool making “factory”. A bushman painting greets you at the mouth of the cave, telling you stories of a long time ago. Housing thousands of bats, this cave goes back as far as hundreds of metres, much of which has yet to be explored.
On offer is a scenic tractor trip which will take you into the mountain to experience the cave. There is also horse riding into the beautiful surrounding areas and heated rock pools to relax and enjoy. Fun is to be had by all the family.
Day visitors: Open from 8am till late.
