Mapatiza Mine Tour and Gecko Jewellers World of Gemstones

Gecko Jewellers World of Gemstones, MidrandGecko Jewellers World of Gemstones, based in Midrand, offers a huge range of designer jewellery made from stones mined at their company-owned mines. This venue is a popular attraction for locals and visitors alike.

Not only is the showroom an educational experience – seeing the amazing range of gem stones  and collectibles – but the prices are “direct” to the public, making the purchase of a sterling silver or gold piece of jewellery even more attractive.

In addition to shopping your heart out, you can visit a replica of one of the company’s mines. Here you will learn about gemstone mining and experience a huge variety of African gemstones being cobbed, sorted and polished. Explore the outside mine-run, view colourful underground chambers and passages and experience the personal touch of the guides.

Also on the premises is a huge kiddies scratch patch – hours of fun for all ages, jungle gym and go-carts and while the kids are scratching for gems, parents can enjoy a cappuccino in the open air country style coffee shop.
