Makiti Art Gallery, Roadside Stall and Restaurant, Warden
If you are heading from Gauteng or the Vaal Triangle to Harrismith or Durban, time your trip to stop for lunch and browse at the Makiti Art Gallery, Road Stall and Restaurant north of town of Warden on the N3.
There is an Art Gallery, Gift Shop, Restaurant, Farm Stall and Butchery at Makiti, which is famous for its beautiful and truly unique orange ‘huts’ and for its food. The Sunday lunch is apparently booked out – not bad for a roadside stop.
Makiti is located 38km north of Warden, on the Reitz offramp.
