Even if you are not an ardent fan of motor vehicles, looking back on more than 100 years of motoring history, represented by an amazing collection of over 220 vehicles in mint condition, will have you entranced. The Franschhoek Motor Museum offers a unique collection of vehicles, motorcycles, bicycles and memorabilia in the magnificent setting of L’Ormarins Wine Estate near Franschhoek.
From an 1898 Beeston motor tricycle to a 2003 Ferrari Enzo supercar, more than 80 exhibits will be on view at any one time, presented in chronological order and displayed in four de-humidified halls with a total floor area of 2700 m². Most the old favourites and classics are represented so be prepared to spend some time imagining yourself at the wheel.
To keep the cars in mint condition they are all regularly started up and driven. These valuable vehicles regularly take to the roads around Franschhoek – you may be even be lucky enough to see one.
