De Roubaix Gallery, Wolvengat, Overberg
The beautiful little Overberg village of Wolvengat, is home to well-known South African artists Wim and Tina de Roubaix.
Wim & Tina De Roubaix have had an impressive career – they are listed in the “Directory of South African Artists” and have exhibited extensively throughout South Africa, Germany & the USA and their work appears in private & corporate collections all over the world, including the Oppenheimer family and Tokyo Sexwale.
Wim is a multifaceted artist whose work covers a large variety of mediums & subjects, including African Tribes, landscapes, nudes, portraits, garden studies and the Ballet. He is also known for bronze sculpture. A large exhibition of Wim’s trademark “Stargazers” figures on display in the garden. These “Stargazers” are available for order for large or small landscape projects Small and large bronzes are available to order, trade enquiries welcome.
Tina has created a unique style combining batik with watercolours, pastels, gold leaf and plant material. Her work is based on nature and is characterised by dreamy African Landscapes and old world flowers.
At the gallery, you will see all the available works by both artists. The gallery is on their farm “Lillywood” in the village of Wolvengat, past Hermanus, Stanford & Gansbaai off the R43. It is advisable to phone in advance if you wish to visit, both for directions and to ensure the Gallery is open. World-wide shipping is available.
If driving from Cape Town, go through Hermanus & take the R43 through Stanford & Gansbaai, the turning to Wolvengat is on left about 30Km from Gansbaai. Distance is 45km from Gansbaai or Bredasdorp.
