Clovelly Golf Course, Clovelly, Cape Town, South Africa

Clovelly Country ClubClovelly Golf Club is located between Fish Hoek and Kalk Bay on the Cape South Peninsula. The excellent spirit of the members welcomes players from around the world to enjoy their well kept course in the pristine Silvermine Valley. Built among sand dunes, and offering scenic views of False Bay, the course is free of traffic noise and indeed, is home to indigenous flora and fauna that enhance the round.

Between the members and visitors some 60 000 rounds are played on the golf course each year. One can see why it is necessary to plan and book your rounds in advance. Even though the number of rounds is high, the course is consistently in good condition and is well known for its superb greens.

The fairways of the Clovelly Golf Course are narrow and require precision. Often strong winds push from False Bay into the valley of Clovelly. The 9th hole is perceived as the most difficult Par 5 in the entire Cape.

The golf course and facilities are consistently rated in the top fifty in the country by the Compleat Golfer survey of golf clubs.

Open Mondays. Visitors welcome. Visit the Clovelly Golf Club Website.

Directions; The access from Cape Town goes via Muizenberg on the coastal road 310 in the direction of Fish Hoek. Turn right behind Kalk Bay (sign-posted). One can also drive via Hout Bay and Noordhoek taking the Chapman’s Peak Drive.
