Jumbo River Safaris in Phalaborwa offer game viewing charters by boat on the Olifants River, or on a 4-seater light aircraft that will take you from Phalaborwa over part of the Kruger National Park.
Jumbo River Safaris river cruises are three hours in duration departing at 8am, 12pm and 15:30pm every day depending on bookings. The raft houseboat can take up to 40 people at a time, and this is a great, relaxing way to view game as they come to the waters’ edge to drink – and far cooler than a safari vehicle, making it perfect for families.
Elephant,zebra, lion, impala, buffalo, waterbuck and leopard are regularly seen drinking from the Olifants River. Hippo and crocodiles as well as a variety of bird species can also be seen on the banks and waters of the river.
Jumbo Safaris also offers low-level flight air safaris with light plane flights in a four-seater Cessna 182.
