Albertinia
Albertinia, founded in 1904 by the reverend J R Albertyn of the Dutch Reformed Church, lies at the foot of the Langeberg Mountains between Riversdale and Mossel Bay at the beginning of the world renowned Garden Route. It is mainly known as the centre of the aloe products industry in the Western Cape and in fact, South Africa. The Aloe Ferox grows here in abundance and the extract is exported around the world for medicinal use.
