As the name suggests, the Panorama Route is rich in panoramic views, but it is also rich in South African history. This region of Mpumalanga runs along the north-eastern Drakensberg escarpment from the town of Sabie east to Hazyview near the border with the Kruger National Park, and north from Sabie to Graskop and the Blyde River Canyon.
