Gingindlovo

Gingindlovu, Zululand, KwaZulu-Natal Gingindlovu is a small village about 13km from Durban on the North Coast of KwaZulu-Natal about 15km inshore in Zululand. It has some historical significance because this is where King Chetswayo established his military headquarters in the mid 1800’s. It is the site of the battle between the British forces and the Zulu warriors in 1879 after they had layed siege to Eshowe, about 15km away. The area does fall within the Battlefields Route.
