SAPS Heritage Services Police Museum
The SAPS Heritage Services Police Museum on Pretorius Street at the Compol Building officially opened on 23 September 1968.
Exhibitions are divided into crime and cultural history. The crime section includes notorious cases including that of Daisy De Melker, who poisoned her victims.
There is also a section on political crimes such as Steve Biko’s murder and the Sharpville events. The drug trade and child abuse are thoroughly depicted to spread awareness.
