The Moreleta Kloof Nature Reserve, Pretoria
Situated in a quiet, tree-filled suburb in the East of Pretoria, The Moreleta Kloof Nature Reserve is considered a true gem.
The Reserve vegetation is made up of rocky ridges, marikana thornveld and open sweet acacia karoo woodland with the Moreleta Spruit that flows through the reserve.
Activities
Birding
The Reserve offers bird lovers a sight of up 50-70 different species in a single visit.

There are three hiking trails to choose from, they cater for the relaxed to the more devoted hiker.

Wildlife
Be sure to spot small game such as springbok, blesbok, impala, duiker, bushbuck and zebra that roam the reserve.
The Reserve is also equipped with wedding facilities and a restaurant that is open daily as well as a Sunday buffet.
Visiting Hours and Admission
07:00 to 17:00 (winter and summer)
Entrance to the nature reserve will only be allowed until one hour before closing time (16:00).
Entry is free of charge.

Directions
From the N1 take the Rigel Avenue turn-off and travel east. Turn left into Solomon Mahlangu (old Hans Strijdom Avenue). Turn right into Rubenstein Street and left into Helios Street. Parking is available in Helios Street.
