012central Newsletter July 2017
We promised to bring you news on the coolest happenings and events taking place in our city and this month is no different.
Join us for a legendary city walk this Saturday, an initiative in lead-up to Mandela Day.
The first 67 minutes will be spent tidying up Madiba Street and then we’ll move on to Church Square and visit a few special spots that are significant to the life and legacy of Nelson Mandela.
The walk is free but we encourage you to bring a non-perishable food item. This year’s theme for the Day is “action against poverty”, we’d like to donate the collections to a charity in the area. What are you waiting for? It is in your hands to make the world a better place, join the event here.
Calling all Photographers
City Property is looking for imagery to be used in the marketing campaign for Sharon’s Place, a new development in the heart of the Pretoria CBD between Johannes Ramokhoase, Lilian Ngoyi and Struben Streets. The theme is “urban celebration” – colourful pictures of people, buildings, etc. that showcase the energy of our city. If you’d like to be part of this rejuvenation project email us today.
We love big cups and we cannot lie
Welcome to Urban Barista!
Gavin is stationed in Helen Joseph Street (previously Church) from Monday to Friday from 07:00 until 16:00.
So what’s the secret to a perfect cuppa?
“Treat the coffee with love. The ratio of espresso to milk should be just right” said our favourite barista. Pop in for a visit to experience it for yourself.
Food for thought for Mandela Day
012 was proud to be the venue for City Property’s latest CSI project.
With the help of Rise Against Hunger staff members packed a staggering 72 576 meals for underprivileged city children.
These meals will feed 277 children five days for a whole year.

SAACI in the City
Last month over 200 event professionals came out to play in 012 for the SAACI Congress Gala Dinner. The glamourous evening included awards to the industry’s best and brightest, a mouth-watering three-course dinner and a lively vibe. Thank you to all partners who worked hard to make the evening a success.
