Wingate Park Golf Course
Wingate Park Golf Course was founded in 1947 in Moreleta Park, Pretoria in Gauteng Province.
The course is part of the Wingate Park Country Club which was originally mainly Jewish. However, the club has always been open to everyone regardless of position, colour or creed.
The course is ranked in the top hundred in South Africa and hosted the South African Masters in 1993 when Tony Johnstone took the honours. It is a regular venue for provincial amateur events.
Numerous dams and canals provide some interesting water hazards and mature tree line the fairways. Specially created floral features, the trees and the water attract lively bird life all adding to a very pleasing setting.
