TUT Archifashion Show
People hardly ever look at a building and think; what a beautiful construction, I’d like to wear a dress just like it!

Well, TUT architecture and fashion students long thought that idea through as “the ideal project for designers to push their boundaries in their creative mind-set. Archifashion is a combination of architecture and fashion.”
In a dimly lit warehouse on Johannes Ramokgoase Street last night, spectators observed remodelled garments using the forms, lines, colour and shapes of some of Pretoria’s unique architecture such as the National Library of South Africa, the Reju-A-Nation Project and Huis Coettzer. Sponsored by Prism Architects, what the students seemed to have used mostly for the set-up of the ramp and the material of the archifashion pieces is recyclable.

The Archifashion show was a collaboration of Pretoria’s biggest art movement, Cool Capital. Serving drinks was the mobile Capital Craft beer academy.
