Tshwane Youth Leadership Talk 2015
What if we had more workshops developing the youth and fewer discussions about youth development in fancy symposiums?

Especially those still referring to a youth of a time when the country had different struggles all together for a moment, and in that moment realise that we’ve learnt from our past and begin becoming overly excited about brilliant – fresh ideas, begin investing our energy in projects that can really change our society?
The Agape Youth Movement hosted a Tshwane Youth Day Talk at the National Library on the 27th of June 2015 in aim to discuss the issues and solutions of the born frees.
It was a necessary gathering, students from various high schools were present and so was the Deputy minister of Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation in the Presidency, Mr Buti Manamela; Zukiswa Ncunyana from the City of Tshwane’s Research and Innovation centre; Tebogo Sebolai from the City of Tshwane Youth Development Unit and many other leaders who gave their food for thought on entrepreneurship, on being employable, on studying relevant causes that will make the youth suitable for the times we live in and we – the listeners had an opportunity to debate our conditions.
“We occupy different leadership positions, and should not allow people to play God with our hopes and aspirations as though we are incapable of leading ourselves, and of realizing our own freedom,” said, Mr Buti Manemala.
There are youth within the Capital who have stood up for themselves saying “We will do and not wait – we will find means – will gather amongst ourselves and learn from each other.”
Activate! is an organisation also worth checking out, they are “a group of young change-makers across South Africa who are creating innovative ways to transform their communities and the country as a whole.”
Somebody once said that the definition of hell is doing the same thing over expecting a different result. So, let us not go around in circles – What is your definition of complete freedom?
