Ol` Timers MCC Heels on Steel Women’s Day Celebration 2016
There were no complaints over foot pain, oh no sir! This is for the women who wore their high heels and who attended the fabulous annual Heels on Steel day Jol, this past Women’s Day.
The ladies went all out; they came dressed sexy and decorated from head to toe, in every shade of pink imaginable. Ladies on 2 wheels, or as they like to call themselves; ‘biker chicks’, know how to celebrate the magic, beauty, love and strength within every woman.
The club, Ol`Timers MCC, reached their goal once again by celebrating, revealing and recognizing the brave, courageous and beautiful woman in the biking community. These women, some with tattoos and some with none, are mothers, sisters, grandmas, aunts, etc. that just want to live life to its fullest. They believe in unity, the bikers code and sisterhood among all women riders. You will find no judgement or discrimination within these circles!
At the end of the day, if you want to understand why women in particular love biking, you must be able to put aside that all men are from Mars and women are from Venus stuff. You must look and view motorcycling with androgynous eyes. It’s a sport, a recreation and a spiritual experience all together. There are untold reasons why women ride motorcycles, but take all the justifications away and you’re left with one simplicity: motorcycling is a life experience unlike any other.
Indeed, there is a new pink wave of modern female motorcyclists, hitting the streets. I was inspired by the way these women celebrate each other and their independence. So, to all women riders, I just want to say that you have my respect sisters! Happy Woman’s day!
