June 16 Antique & Collectables Fair
By Ronel Moodie
The Voortrekker Monument’s Antique & Collectables Fair keeps on increasing in popularity, even if the weather does not always play along.
Youth day kicked off in real “old” style with so many stallholders, this place holds huge appeal for amateurs looking for quirky pieces to perk up their homes. Believe me, there was something to match every budget!
There was no shortage of choice there, with vendors selling everything from grand crystal chandeliers, ornamental figurines, to a glorious array of antique furniture and connoisseur food. The buyers with an eye for antiques and a nose for a bargain really took advantage of the items on display.
If you have something you’re thinking of selling or looking for an old gem, keep your eyes and ears open for the next Antique & Collectables Fair, coming your way soon with an entrance fee of only R30.
