Last night’s farewell for the young players was warm and the parents were both nervous and excited, “my son is only 16,” said Alexandra Kok’s mother.
Playing sport teaches you a lot about yourself…
“This is the fifth First XI side from Hoёrskool Waterkloof to travel to England, the birth place of this noble sport,” said the principal, Daan Potgieter.
Willie Ludick the captain of the Klofies team said his whole family starting with his grandfather love sports so it was inevitable for him to be a sportsman.
“Playing sport teaches you a lot about yourself,” Willie said; like the discipline, courage and hard work it took for all fourteen boys to get the opportunity and recognition to compete in ten matches with some of the best schools in England.
Memories of the entire tour will be shared on their Facebook page, Klofies Krieket. Have fun guys!
