ASSARO Fundraising Walk 2016
ASSARO Fundraising Walk 2016
The Australian Shepherd South African Rescue Organisation (ASSARO) fundraising walk for dog was held at the Jan Smuts House Museum at Irene on Saturday 6 March 2016. This event is fully dedicated to the fundraising for the unique Australian Sheppard breed dogs of South Africa.
There was all shapes and sizes of dogs during this event, as the dog community tend to stand together as a family and give a helping hand every time they get the chance. Dogs could spend the day outside in the fresh air with their owners, walking a mere 3 – 5 km and had the opportunity to be let loose into an open field where they can run freely under supervision of their owners for some fun-time! Afterwards a delicious breakfast and coffee was served in the garden for the owners of these furry friends, with treats and water for the dogs to enjoy.
Charles was also one of the dogs that was up for adoption on this day, as his previous owners had to move into an apartment. He is 4 years old, fully trained and a real lovable dog who is crazy about gentle morning kisses to give your day a head start – he is still available for adoption.
This is an event to keep an eye on in the future, it’s lots of fun and you and your family and friends can spend some quality time together with your furry friends!
