The Jacaranda Agricultural Show
For the past 75 years the Jacaranda Agricultural Show, previously called the Pretoria Show, has been the platform for farmers and today for the creation of agricultural business opportunities.
This business to business platform is designed to showcase various opportunities for farmers and the agricultural industry.
The Show takes place at the Tshwane Events Centre (Pretoria Show grounds) and tickets are available at the gates. Visitors to the show can look forward to a jam-packed programme for the week with daily live-stock exhibitions and competitions. Groot FM will broadcast live from the Show on the opening day and will announce the winner of the Kawasaki KVF 300 Quad bike on the 30 Aug. A young farmer will also be crowned as the Jacaranda Future Farmer.
A proud tradition continues to live on with quality indoor and outdoor exhibits. These exhibits offer products or services that will epitomise your value for money, innovation, luxury and or self-expression. So, look out for the diverse livestock categories; from the cream of SA’s cattle, like the Brahman, to sheep, goats, horses and the cute and cuddly “feather and furs”. Other areas of focus will be on the emerging farmer, weekend farmer market and the working model of an integrated farming system.
The Agricultural Factory Pavilion, transformed into a Farmers Market allows visitors to buy and taste the products – fruit and vegetables, pickles, jams, biltong, nuts and even a 5 star signatory drink. The show was also honoured to host some of SA’s most beautiful Clivia’s in all their splendour and the antique tractors on display rounded of the history of the Show perfectly.
