Plushy Fest enters its Third Year
Plushy Fest enters its Third Year – Rocking Out for the Kids!
Charity starts at home, and it is with this spirit that Hybrid Entertainment SA and HIT Music have taken #Plushyfest into its third year – showcasing local music talent in order to collect donations of much-needed supplies for the children of Jacaranda Children’s Home in Pretoria and Johannesburg Children’s Home in Johannesburg.
The event first launched on 4th October 2014, and took place at Wolmer Bush Lounge in Pretoria. 2015 saw the event moving to Smugglers Pub in North Riding in 2015 in order to be more central for both the PTA and JHB communities.
This year, (back by popular demand by the very grateful charities), the event will take place at Rumours in Weltevreden Park, with the same aim to collect as much as possible for the children in need.
“I feel very passionate about this event and the cause behind it, and I’m very taken back by all the support and willingness of all involved, from the volunteers, to the bands and of course the sponsors”, commented Michael Vieira, founder of the event. “Jack Rahme of HIT Music has kindly taken over hosting of the event, with our [sic Hybrid Entertainment] support, and with the success of the 2015 event, I couldn’t be prouder nor happier to have him and his team on board. Special thanks must also be given to RockNet OnIine Rock Radio for their continued support of the event. This year we have also received the support of Rocking Locs which we are very grateful for.”, said Vieira.
