The Swartkops Aloe Reserve offers two trails which take you on a circular route along the escarpment, running through the Succulent Thicket biome on to the plateau.  Aloes at the start of both trails make a stunning show during June/July each year and attract many sunbirds.  There are fantastic views of the sea, city, Redhouse, Swartkops Nature Reserve, the saltpans and beyond to Uitenhage and the Cockscomb (the highest peak in the Winterhoek Mountains).

Highlights

Breath-taking natural flora and excellent views.
