Burger King PE opening its doors on Monday
BURGER KING® South Africa will open its first restaurant in Port Elizabeth at the Sasol service station on 92 Pickering Street, Port Elizabeth on Monday, 25 July 2016 at 11 am.
This is the first restaurant to open in the Eastern Cape, and is a joint initiative with Sasol franchisee Joe Thompson.
A mere three years after launching in the country, the burger giant has rapidly expanded across the country by immediately establishing a strong, premium local supply chain. Currently, there are restaurants in six provinces including – Western Cape, Gauteng, Durban, North West, Mpumalanga and Eastern Cape.
“We’re excited to continue growing the BURGER KING® brand throughout South Africa. We know that PE locals have been longing to sink their teeth in to the famous 100% pure beef flame-grilled WHOPPER® for some time, and we’re sure they will enjoy it as much as the rest of the country. By expanding to yet another province, it allows us to continue growing our footprint and serve fresh, quality food full of flavour to more South Africans,” says Alan Keet, CEO of Grand Foods. Grand Foods, the food business within GPI holds the master franchise licence for BURGER KING® in SA.
The restaurant has drive-thru and eat-in facilities and will operate Sunday to Thursday from 09:00 – 22:00 and Friday – Saturday from 09:00 – 23:00.
