Sunday Lunch at Hopewell Restaurant
It’s always exciting to plan an outing for Sunday Lunch – especially when you get to travel in to the countryside and experience spectacular views, great food and good times.
This was just the case when we recently decided to visit the award-winning Hopewell Restaurant on the Hopewell Conservation Estate by Mantis.
Small yet open – this family restaurant, only 20 minutes from the centre of PE, boasts floor to ceiling windows throughout, offering incredible views into the Hopewell Valley and beyond.
The restaurant is described as ‘a contemporary eatery, where you can enjoy fresh artisan dishes, prepared using delicious seasonal ingredients, and a selection of South Africa’s finest boutique wines.’
The chef enjoys creating his signature dishes – and we cannot compliment him and his staff enough for the delicious Sunday Lunch offerings that were presented to us! The gallery of images above will speak for itself.
The layout of the restaurant allows you to sit back, relax and watch your children play outside while taking in the beautiful views.
There are many activities on offer for the kids to keep themselves occupied – from Giant Jenga to Mini Football, with a jungle gym thrown in for good measure!
You also just might be lucky enough to ‘spot wild game wandering past, including Eland, Kudu, Red Hartebeest, Cape Mountain Zebra and Springbok. There are also more than 130 resident bird species in the reserve.’
So bring your family, friends and colleagues to this magic place and let yourself unwind and be spoilt a little.
